Home redefined.

I miss home so much. I miss the changing aspen leaves. I miss the thunderstorms that leave you breathless. I miss twirling in circles in the rain. I miss wrapping up in flannel blankets during football games and drinking watered down hot chocolate. I never knew I would miss fall this much.
The ocean might beat it though. I'm standing up to my chest in the numbingly cold water. I look behind me and gasp. There's no time to react: float or duck. The water picks me up, I'm not in control. I can't touch the bottom. It has complete control. It takes my breath away. The saltwater invades me. The water enters me and I become one with the ocean. It is beautiful. The ocean does not care about me. To it, I am an inanimate object. Yet, somehow, it is everything to me. I want to please it, to sweetly call it and have it obey me, but there is something so attractive about wanting to control something that cannot be controlled. It is a passion that takes over my body, cell by cell. As the sun starts dropping in the sky, I would not trade my position for the world. The sun melts into the horizon, and I have become one with the uncontrollable force of nature. It has power over me, and I will let it have my way with me.
